are happy to announce Sedona Brings, Oglala Lakota, from Pine Ridge, SD has
become RtH liaison in charge of distribution of blankets, coats, school
supplies and other warm clothing on Pine Ridge Reservation. Sedona
is a retired nurse living in Red Cloud District of the village of Pine Ridge
on Pine Ridge Reservation, SD. Sedona worked as a dialysis nurse in Pine Ridge
until her mother's, Celeste Brings, health
started to decline in 2005. Sedona retired from the dialysis center and
devoted all her time and energies to taking care of her mother. Celeste
Brings started a home based program to provide coats and shoes for Lakota
youth that remained in place until her declining health limited her ability to
remain active. "With
this program (RtH) I will be able to carry on my mother's work for the people
